Jennifer Deitsch is a senior associate with New Venture Communications. She has 17 years of combined journalism and public relations experience, and for the past decade has brought her PR expertise to a diverse mix of consumer electronics, telecommunications and emerging technology clients. She brings expertise in strategic planning, media/analyst relations, speaker placement, product launches and large-scale events.
BACKGROUND & RELATIONSHIPS
Media Relations/Corporate Communications Consultant. As an independent consultant, Jennifer has created and executed public relations programs designed to boost company visibility and sales leads for clients including BayPackets, Mobilitec, Nuance Communications and U4EA Technologies. Prior to this, Jennifer worked as Senior Account Director at Brodeur Partners, where she led the Silicon Valley Consumer Technology Practice, and Senior Public Relations Manager at BeVocal. During this time, Jennifer:
- Managed public relations for BeVocal, successfully positioned the company as a leader in the telecom software space, influencing customer wins including BellSouth, Cingular Wireless and Virgin Mobile USA, and gaining placements in key business publications including Investor’s Business Daily, Red Herring and Wall Street Journal.
- Managed Philips’ national DTV education campaign, which included planning and execution of a 10-city media and retail tour, celebrity satellite media interviews, and the creation and distribution of a “DTV for Dummies” booklet.
- Launched U4EA as a product company, managing P.R. for the company’s worldwide locations and garnering positive coverage in Network World, Telephony, Light Reading and others.
- Worked on the Philips DVR/TiVo launch, the Philips handheld Nino product team and Philips videoconferencing products, including media relations, product reviews, and execution of media campaigns for trade shows and events such as CES and COMDEX.
Nuts-to-bolts PR: In the past decade, Jennifer has worked hands-on with dozens of technology companies, managing every aspect of their public persona, including: strategic planning, media and analyst relations, press material creation (press releases, case studies, fact sheets, backgrounders, etc.), media training, speaker and editorial calendar placement, contributed articles and press tours.
A seasoned journalist: Prior to working in public relations, Jennifer was a journalist for seven years, covering local news for CBS, NBC, ABC and Fox affiliates throughout the country.
Senior Associate: As a senior associate for New Venture Communications, Jennifer handles media relations for a variety of venture capital and clean tech clients.
